Sensations Strike a High Note at League Vocal Festival!

Our very own Sensations vocal ensemble traveled to Kansas Wesleyan University this past Wednesday, March 4th, to compete in the League Vocal Festival, and they certainly gave the judges something to talk about.

Performing two carefully prepared selections, the group showcased the vocal talent and discipline we’ve come to expect from our music department. The judges were clearly impressed, awarding the Sensations a "I" rating—the highest possible score achievable at the festival.

What is a "I" Rating?

In the world of vocal festivals, a "I" (Superior) rating isn't just about hitting the right notes. It represents a performance that excels in:

• Diction and Precision

• Musical Interpretation and Spirit

This top-tier rating is a direct result of the hours of rehearsal and the dedication these students have shown to their craft. Whether it was perfecting complex harmonies or mastering stage presence, the Sensations proved that preparation is the key to a standing-ovation-worthy performance.
