Cheer Policies and Strikes

~Three minors will result in a major strike

Minor infractions include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Late to practice … you must be READY TO GO at start time (hair back, clothes on, done eating, etc)
  2. Not having proper equipment (poms, shoes, etc)
  3. Having jewelry in/on
  4. Other minor issues coaches have to repeatedly remind about
    1. Talking too much
    2. Getting on phone during water break
    3. Other issues per coach

~Three MAJOR strikes will result in dismissal from the squad

Major infractions include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Unexcused absences from practice/games
    1. No call/message from parent
    2. Missing for reasons not approved by a coach in advance
      1. Hair appointments
      2. Friends birthday party
  2. Late to a game
  3. Any behavior outlined in original standards

Again, each violation is handled individually by the coaches based on severity of the issue.  This Minor/Major plan is in addition to the Cheer Policies, to be used as a tool to help with the number of athletes on the squad this year.  Majors will result in being benched for a half or whole game.  Three majors will result in dismissal from the team. Consistency is key in this area.
